Pro Team Auction Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary - December 5, 2010

Pro Team Auction in White Pine has been open one year, and to celebrate the business hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Dec. 2, and is hosting its second annual winter auction this Saturday. At Thursday's ribbon cutting, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce members, family and staff gathered to rev up excitement for this weekend's auction. Pro Team's second annual winter auction will be Saturday, Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. The auction includes many pieces of farm tractors and machinery, crawler loaders and dozers, excavators, skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, fork lifts, motor graders, etc. Jeff Bowlin, president of Pro Team Auction, says that although Pro Team is barely over a year old, the combined experience of the staff makes it an established business. "We're new, but we're not new. We have done this for a long time," Bowlin said. Bowlin and his staff have combined experience in the equipment industry of more than 150 years. Bowlin and many others at Pro Team are the second generation in their respective families to work in the equipment business. Pro Team Auction partner Brian Dapore agreed with Bowlin that although the company itself is new, it has little effect on Pro Team Auction's success in the equipment auction industry. "Although we are still a new company, we believe our name says it all," Dapore said. "Our staff has the knowledge and skills to set this auction company apart from all the rest," he said. The Bowlin and Dapore families embarked on the business venture together even though the Dapore family resides in Ohio. "The Dapore family and my family have crossed paths in business for more than 40 years, all the way from Ohio to Georgia. We are more than just partners, we're family," Bowlin said. Pro Team Auction is licensed in several states, and even does business across seas. "We are currently shipping our equipment to 13 different countries including Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt," Bowlin said. In addition to equipment, Pro Team Auction can sell real estate and personal property assets. The winter auction will be held at the business, which is located at 1715-A Garden Village Drive, across from the Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center.
